Voluntary Services

The volunteer service is provided by dedicated and committed people who give freely of their time to help enhance the lives of patients at The Royal Hospital Donnybrook.  The volunteer compliments the professional care provided by staff by responding to the social and recreational needs of patients on a voluntary basis.

Volunteers contribute their time to many activities in the hospital.  Some examples are:

• Visiting and chatting with patients
• Assisting with activities, e.g. Bingo
• Assisting in the Coffee Shop
• Escorting patients to and from religious services
• Assisting with organised outings - shopping, theatre, galleries, etc.
• Mobile library service
• Flower arranging
• Peata volunteers
• Musical entertainment

Volunteers are always needed and are very welcome.  If you would like to join the volunteer team in the hospital, please contact:
