Nursing & Support Staff
The Department of Nursing plays a central role in the delivery of care to residents and patients in complex continuing care for adults and older people and inpatient and day rehabilitation services. Nursing staff work collaboratively with other members of multidisciplinary teams across the hospital to provide high quality, person-centered services.
In recognition of the changing needs of patients and residents, nursing practice in The Royal Hospital Donnybrook is continuously evolving to ensure that care is provided in a timely, professional and effective way.
We aim to provide a caring, flexible and safe environment in all service areas, where the core values of dignity, respect and patient advocacy underpin our practice.
Hospital and nursing management are committed to supporting and encouraging all staff in continued professional and personal development. To promote evidence-based, person-centered care, nurses and nursing support staff have access to ongoing in-service training and education. Opportunities are provided for staff to pursue further education, training or development that will enhance their professional practice and ultimately improve the quality of patient care and services.
